We have hacked this so it does not detach upon screen lock and x11vnc is working fine.
Presumably you also hacked it so that it doesn't automatically lock on an idle timer, since that can also occur while a session is detached. Which kind of raises the question of "what's the point of running a screen locker at all?", since you can only allow it to lock the screen while the session is connected, and can never disconnect a locked session, or it's inaccessible via VNC. Maybe if you never detach sessions this works well, but I think that's a very atypical use. Do your users care about mobility? Have they learned to reset a Sun Ray that has a locked NSCM session on it, so they can use the Sun Ray themselves?
