Greetings everybody.

I read a bit the list archives, and I found some discussion between Txxxx and vxxx based servers.

We currently have a project to host sun rays in a data center as a service to enterprises.

I thought of a layer like this:

customer, t1000 or 2000 as proxy - internet - v490 - storage.

Final layout should be two 490 for failover, when we have enough users and perhaps moving user dir to an other server. (like two 440 or 240)

This was the first idea I got, as we seek scalability, reliability and mainly easy/central management.

But now, I only know managing 2 v490 is easier than managing 10 t1000, but I don't know more. (I worked with ultra sparc for nearly 10 years, so I know what it can do, but I never touched/tried/logged into a Txxxx)

How many users (I mean active users, so 30% of total users) a v490 can handle?

Regards
