Hi,

As I wrote before, I'm not a fan of using prototypes for firefox. You should use -CreateProfile to launch firefox and make your wanted changes to the main firefox config files.

There might be a bit of a chicken-and-egg issue here, before the application is started there are no files to modify, and once it's started it's too late to modify them for that session.

Dear SunRay Forum,

In the SunRay Administration Tool, i enable the CAM/Kiosk mode to launch Forefox 2.0 browser and set the policy as Non-card users to No Access and card users as CAM/kiosk users and restart the srss services. I also enabled prototype as describe in srss admin guide.

Next, i logged in as root user and launch a firefox 2.0 browser. In the browser, i set my homepage url address and quit the browser. I copied the /.mozilla directory to prototypes directory( /var/opt/SUNWut/kiosk/prototypes/Firefox ).

From the Sun Ray client terminal, i right-click and choose Firefox and the browser launched. The annoying part is, whenever i launch the browser i saw theis message " Your last Firefox session closed unexpectedly. You can restore the tabs and windows from your previous session, or start a new session if you think the problem was related to a page you were viewing ". I can choose the Start New Session OR Restore Session. I tried clicking both options and the browser launched.

Can anyone help me to eliminate the Firefox message ?

The source of the problem might be the registry directory, which at least in my install is located in .mozilla and named .registry_<user>. If it was just copied from a result of a launch of mozilla by root, it probably doesn't match the expected .registry_utcuX corresponding to the CAM user. It may be necessary to use a wrapper launcher for the application so that prior to actually starting it, the .registry_root directory coming from the prototype is renamed to .registry_$USER.
