Hello SunRay-Users,

We have a SRS 4.0 server set up in CAM mode to use our Sun Rays
to log in to Windows Terminal server by uttsc. Until recently
nobody needed to use USB flash drives, however now I was asked
  to research the possibility.

I discovered that while the DTU is in unauthenticated CAM mode,
the server ignores any USB flash drive I insert.

The storage device is only recognized when I log in with a smart
card, or in NSCM mode (after I unplug and plug in the USB flash).

In the last two cases I can normally redirect the USB mountpoint
to Windows in uttsc, and it works ok.

Is this inability to mount the USB drive from CAM mode a design
consideration (i.e. the server refuses USB sticks from unknown
users, where known users are those with a smart card or Solaris
login), or can this be worked around somehow?

At the moment the preferred technique for us is to have these
DTUs in CAM mode around the office, running uttsc from a menu
and seeing the USB flash drives.
