That should be fine, it would be a bug if GDM didn't allow it.

If the same user is logged in multiple times concurrently then his
desktop or applications might be unhappy.  Gnome doesn't like
mutiple concurrent logins over the same home directory (they
don't even have to be on the same machine if you have an
NFS-shared home directory) and applications such as Mozilla
don't like that either.  Those are desktop and application issues,
they have nothing to do with Sun Ray.
