There is no official way.  We've thought about it
but since the ALP udp/7009 protocol is sent in
clear (unless you use VPN) there's no easy way to
make this secure.  But there is a nasty trick to
do it, known as "poisoning the ARP cache".

Basically, you can run the 'arp' command to set a
bogus MAC address for the Sun Ray's IP address
(e.g. 010203040506).  What this will do is to
cause the SR Server to send heartbeats into the
bit bucket instead of to the SR.  After a minute or so,
the SR will give up waiting for heartbeats and
reboot.

When it reboots, it broadcasts an "unsolicited ARP
Response", which "heals" the cache with the correct
IP/MAC mapping, and you're good to go.
