Yep, it does work, no problems so far, at least on CentOS 5 (which should be more than close enough to FC for this discussion).
I don't have any sunrays involved on the linux side, but I've got about 45 CentOS 4.3 and 5 boxes authenticating and getting home dirs via NIS/NFS from my Solaris boxes.
