Actually, you are probably right on.

There is an xset command in the CAM startup files. Much like the Citrix ICA client starting before dtsession if fully setup, xset in your CAM setup script could easily be running before the CAM one. See the wiki for the 3.1 CAM deep dive to see what scripts are called when.

Hi All,

To make sure my sleepy Rays stayed awake, all I had to do was introduce
a 'sleep 60' before the xset into the session script.
Since I am using dtsession and the script, my theory is that the xset
runs before the dtsession setup has completed and doesn't act on a
'real' desktop session. I could also be barking up the wrong tree (but
it makes sense in Sean-land!)

thanks for the suggestions

No, that server side as you probably guessed has nothing to do with it.

1) What types of Sun Rays
2) What rev of FW
3) Where/when are you calling the xset command?
Hi,

Customer is using SRSS 1.3 (Sol 10 x86) with Sun Ray 2 DTUs. I'd have
to get onsite to find the firmware revision.
xset is being called in a CAM script. The script just launches Firefox
on the Sun Ray server. xset is run before firefox.

thanks

Sean
