Well,

most likely problem is a SRSS policy configuration fault. logon to http://localhost:1660 and verify the logon policy is correct. ( ie w. or w-o smart card , kiosk or not a.s.o ) dont configure smartcards for both kiosk and user login.

 OR,

No Home directory springs to mind. ( i.e. the SRSS could not mount the home directory specified in /etc/passwd or NIS or LDAP ) No /wrong write permission on Home directory. ( if gnome cant create the gnome dot-files it fails ) OR

You have altered /etc/pam.conf, /etc/nsswitch.conf or any X related files in /usr/dt/config and then failed to restart dtlogin . ( You have to reboot or kill off the dtlogin and restart the Dtlogin Daemon to make dtlogn reread many of its relevant config files. Dtlogin does not reload these files on each login attempt, only when you restart the daemon ) .

Solaris 10 8/07, SRSS 3.1

When users enter username and password, the screen gets white, then gets blue and returns to dtlogin screen.

Please help.
