Hi all,
I gave the remote Sun Ray feature of the new DTUs a first try today.
After installing SRS 4.x I first made sure that connectting inthe LAN
works. It did. I then uploaded the gui firmware with
/opt/SUNWut/sbin/utfwadm -A -f /opt/SUNWut/lib/firmware_gui -e
00144F0E9218
and was able to access the popup-GUI. Under servers I entered the
external (public) ipaddress of our sun ray server and power cycled the
DTU. This still worked. OSD showed the correct information. I then
connected to the DTU to a switch connected to a public network and
configured a static ipaddress, netmask, router in the DTU.
Now the DTU gets stuck with error code "10 H"! I assume I have to burn
a few holes into the firewall of the Sun Ray Server so that the DTU
can access it through the external interface. I found a table Server
ports and protocols table in
http://docs.sun.com/source/820-0411/new_nw_config.html#50450458_pgfId-
1075176 but am not sure which ports exactly I have to open in my case.
The table is rather long and would like to open as few ports as
possible.
After installing SRS 4.x on a productaon machine and testing a few
units locally a drove away and once back in the office tried to connect
to the server remotely. It just won't work for. I can't check whether
local connects succeed. I again get stuck at
100F 26 D
The OSD shows the correct IP address of the SRS server. I tried
"utrestart -c" and "/usr/dt/bin/dtlogin restart". No avail! This time I
even rebooted the machine. Nothing! Here are my firewall entries
pass in quick on ce1 proto tcp/udp from any to any port = 1661 keep
state
pass in quick on ce1 proto tcp/udp from any to any port = 66 keep state
pass in quick on ce1 proto tcp/udp from any to any port = 67 keep state
pass in quick on ce1 proto tcp from any to any port = 7009 keep state
pass in quick on ce1 proto tcp from any to any port = 7011 keep state
pass in quick on ce1 proto udp from any to any port = 40000 keep state
I am stuck! Any ideas?
Thanks a lot!
Regards,
Andreas
