Hi
We have a couple of packages that are very slow on Sunray, principally
Xstata which we think makes use of libcairo, if we log onto the server
direct and use Xorg display, its fast, but over SunRay unsuabel.
Is it possible to use Xorg instead of Xsun on the Sunray software ?
Not at this time. In our next release, Xorg will be the default (Xsun
will still be available on Solaris). However, that doesn't guarantee
good performance on Sun Ray - local displays will always have
different performance characteristics than Sun Ray, depending on
what the application is doing. It's not just a matter of a different
X server.
