Are you trying to configure a dedicated interconnect or a shared one? i.e.
Will traffic for Sun Ray be on its own separate network or will it be on the
network that you use for everything else?

What is the command and error when you use the -A option?

Subject: [SunRay-Users] Prob with ./utadm -a "Already Configured"

  Hi All

I am trying to configure my server interface with ./utadm -a eth0 or eth1

But I keep getting the below

  [EMAIL PROTECTED] sbin]# ./utadm -a eth0

  ### Configuring /etc/nsswitch.conf

  ### Configuring Service information for Sun Ray

Interface "eth0" is already configured as

  hostname "localhost"

To configure eth0 as a dedicated interconnect:

          remove the file /etc/opt/SUNWut/net/hostname.eth0 and

remove the host entry localhost or use a different hostname.

Please use the -A option to configure support for shared networks.

  [EMAIL PROTECTED] sbin]#

I uninstalled and reinstalled SUNRAY but that did not help, a restart did not
help either. I tried changing the hostname but that only changes this line

Interface "eth0" is already configured as hostname "localhost" to the new
localhost name.

-A subnet# is not working either

  Any suggestions are appreciated.

  With Regards

  Ali Jawad
