I think Joerg's suggestion was the best. We know there are problems with
gdm/gdmdynamic as shipped in SLES10.
You'll probably need to build your own version from more recent sources, or
wait for our next release that supports SLES10. We know that RHEL5's
version works better.

I setup a kiosk system on top of linux for a small library. I setup two
Linux SLES10 servers that are servicing 75 thin clients. They use them

run a native linux search application. Seems to be working well for the

6 months.
I also tried setting up a small 30 user setup on linux but ran into so
many
OS level issues with automounter/Gnome issues that we went back to
solaris
as the underlying OS and everyone was much happier. We are waiting for a
chance to test the newer linux distro's before we try again.
