Dear Sun Ray Users,

I have a customer who has an application that runs in Windows that has built-in mechanism to print to COM port i.e. printer redirection does not help in this case. I am trying to configure serial port redirection of Sun Ray Connector for Windows to get it working.

The serial port of the printer attached to the Sun Ray 270 DTU is configured to use 9600/8/even/1/off. I believe the Sun Ray 270 DTU serial port has a 'default' setting of 9600/8/none/1/off. *Can anybody confirm there is a default firmware (unchangeable) setting or it is configurable in the SRSS?* In my case, neither changing printer or the application serial setting is an option.

Technically the serial port redirection is handled by RDP and there is NO further processing (i.e. RAW) on the SRSS side apart from sending the data to the physical serial port. In theory, if I change the mapped serial port COM1 setting to 9600/8/even/1/off in Windows device manager, the serial printer on the other end should be able to receive and read the data as it is configured to communicate in 9600/8/even/1/off. Is this correct?

Thanks.
