As I said, the problem seems to only occur when you set the default
visual for a card (token) or for the whole SRSS to 8bit. Can you please
try if you can reproduce the problem? Just do a "utxconfig -p default"
for a specific card/token and then see if you are able to use it
properly in 8bit.

And which exact platform do you have? Here I do have a freshly installed
Solaris 10 10/08 (SPARC) as well as SRSS 4.1 plus the latest -01 patch.

We really do require to set a certain bunch of cards/tokens to default
to 8bit PseudoColor visual, but SRSS 4.1 seems to be buggy in this
respect. Would be very nice to see/hear if anyone is able to reproduce
this problem with his SRSS 4.1 installation.
