The file /etc/opt/SUNWut/X11/fontpath is supposed to be created at
install time.

If you create it manually it might work. (there is a template in
/opt/SUNWut/lib/X11/fontpath.template), such as this:

#
# ident "@(#)fontpath.template 1.1 09/06/19 SMI"
#
# Copyright 2009 Sun Microsystems, Inc. All rights reserved.
# Use is subject to license terms.
#

/usr/share/fonts/local
/usr/share/fonts/misc/:unscaled
/usr/share/fonts/75dpi/:unscaled
/usr/share/fonts/100dpi/:unscaled
/usr/share/fonts/Type1/
/usr/share/fonts/CID/
/usr/share/fonts/Speedo/
/usr/share/fonts/TrueType/
