I'm really struggling with understanding what does/can happen immediately after the DTU makes a connection with the Sun Ray Server ... how is it decided what is shown to the session?

In any case, at the moment I am getting a black screen with a CDE-style "Login Incorrect; please try again", followed by "Error starting Kiosk session; invalid Kiosk session configuration".

This seems to have happened after I was experimenting with the Kiosk mode in the GUI admin, and later deleted the Kiosk configuration. I don't want a Kiosk at the present time. I would rather be given a login screen. I've not been able to tickle SRS into showing me that login screen ever since I installed SRWC 2.2. Before I broke it to the behaviour above, I had it broken such that it had all the appearances of creating a session without actually going on to display anything (or even whinge).

I'm using SRS 4.2, SRWC 2.2, and SDAC 1.0.

Can anyone help me:
a) better understand what goes on when a new session is created? (happy to read doco if you can point me at it)
b) get my login screen back?
Disable kiosk policy using utpolicy / Admin GUI policy page.
(/opt/SUNWut/sbin/utpolicy -a -g -z both; utrestart -c)

Thanks
