I only run into a similar problem when the permissions on /tmp have been
screwed up somehow. So make sure that /tmp has proper permissions like:

drwxrwxrwt 247 root root    135168 Apr 15 09:34 tmp

And also check the SUNWut path within /tmp to have similar permissions.
