Look in the logs of the Windows Server. It is likely that it was disconnected due to some level of security support configured that uttsc doesn't support.

Is this not a supported version of Windows 2008? I know that W2k8 R2 is the one listed. If R2 is strictly required, this may be a problem for DoD customers.
 
I have tried 'kill -USR2 <pid of Xnewt>' but don't see anything logged into /var/dt/Xerrors.
