No didn't think of that one...but I just looked at it and the first step says to uncomment a line in the /etc/cups/mime.convs file, which of course doesn't exist on Solaris 11.

I suspected that the Solaris 11 cups and Linux cups configurations would be somewhat different.

Have you tried the Linux instructions, which also uses CUPS?

While I have a network running with Solaris 10/SRS 5.3, I am trying to
get SRS 5.4 installed on a new Solaris 11 server. I've managed to get
everything working, except for printing.

In Solaris 10, we used lpadmin to add printers (and dymo label makers -
raw devices), then we could import them into the Windows uttsc session.

It looks like Solaris 11 printing has changed enough (now CUPS), that
this doesn't work anymore. I've gone through all of the docs, but they
all point to Solaris 10 CLI methods to add printers, nothing for 11.

Does anybody have any guidance on this?

Thanks!
