Thanks for your help. I had clearly forgotten the step of importing
session and apps with utkiosk, editing the appropriate application line,
and then importing the changed files.

The applist setting is stored in SRS, so just editing the file is not
enough. What does it look like in the gui? You'll also want to
look/change it with the kioskdesc and other tools in /opt/SUNWkio/sbin
along with the right utkiosk command for you app if you don't want to
use the webadmin
