To test the deployment of CentOS 6.3 and SRS 5.4.1 I have setup a virtual maschine on our VMware ESX server. The server is setup running gdm as login manager providing Gnome and KDE desktops.

After some fine tuning everything ran fine except for the shutdown and restart buttons in the KDE menu "Leave". Gnome did not show them at all. I can't find any hints at Google except for disabling them in gdm - which is working fine. Maybe some of you have had the same problem and can help me resolving this issue.

The user based configuration file ~/.kde/share/config/ksmserverrc provides an option [General] offerShutdown=[true|false]. Setting this to "false" only works on a user basis. Does anybody know of a global option to configure this as server default and overriding the user based setting?

kind regards and thanks for help
