After some finagling I got it to work :)

./utfwadm -A -f /opt/SUNWutdfw/lib/firmware/CoronaP5 -e 0003ba867708

Then power cycled it.  It apparently forced it to download it.  Now it works 
great!  Thanks for the help Volker!

Hmmm... have you tried "/opt/SUNWut/sbin/utfwload -aL" to force FW update?

Sorry I am a bit busy now, I will try to look into it later in more detail.
