Hi Richard,
To work "right out of the box" you will have to buy the more expensive Radeon 7000 Mac Edition. If you have a PC, and are skilled at flashing "stuff" you can probably buy the less expensive PC version. (I don't have a PC or those skills) There have been lots of discussions about flashing the PC Radeon card here on the list. Take a look in the archives to see if it is something you feel comfortable doing.
