Has anyone the list used a Skyline card (802.11b Wireless PCI card) in a S900 ?

I have purchased one and seem to be run a foul of driver issues. When the driver designed to load for the card tries to load I get a frozen machine.

Prior to doing the card swap into a different location dance if someone has used this card could lend some advise it would be helpful.

Frank,

I don't have an S900, but I do have a Skyline wireless card in one of our laptops. A quick check on Proxim's web site indicates the PC card and the PCI card use the same software and drivers.

If you have not already done so, go to Proxim's web site and get the latest driver. I have used the one for OS 9 and the beta one for OSX and both seem pretty stable. There is a firmware update too. You can download the OS 7.5 through OS 9 drivers here: <http://www.proxim.com/support/all/skyline/software/dl-a-2001-07- 31.html>

It sounds like an extension conflict is causing the problem, but I could be wrong. Can you boot with extensions disabled? That would at least tell you if you need to do the card swap dance.
