I mistakenly had the opinion that TTP would perform that function in
it's suite of tools. But apparently that is not so. However thanks
to you guys for putting me straight.

TTP does not rebuild the desktop. It deletes all the desktop files, then you reboot thereby forcing the system to rebuild the desktop. It is a mush better way of rebuilding the desktop, because the system can write a new file instead of writing over the old file.

This function of TTP is under the "desktop" in the left panel and has
to be done manually.  It is not part of the auto run.
