I hope that someone in my favorite forum has some advice for me. I have an S-900, upgraded to a Sonnet G3 400, 336 mgs, running 10.1.5, two drives (m/s), and now a Toshiba dvd-rom (1712) on the Sonnet ata 100, and an ati exclaimvr 16 mg video card. The install was puzzling, but that's not the problem now. I'm using the apple dvd player and the playback is totally unacceptable. It skips constantly, whether on half or full screen. Perhaps stutters is a better description-both audio and video. I was under the impression that my system was sufficient to play dvd's. Perhaps I was wrong. Do I need a faster processor or video card?
Thanks,
Miksis
