I have seen the most recent post of the Black Screen of Death. Now as I have a C600 and not using OSX, but my First Edition iMac has have this problem while I'm in the Middle of using the Dam!! thing. Any thaughts????? Would it be better to go back to the last update??

You didn't say which version of OSX your using. I had this problem with 10.2.8 on my J700. The fix was to install 10.2.8 a second time using the downloaded combo version and then run Disk permissions in Disk utilities. Running Disk permissions on the first install of 10.2.8 didn't make any difference. Best of luck Will S
