I definitely won't mind if it only gives me USB 1.1 in OS9, in fact, that's
what I was expecting. But some of the sellers of cards I'm looking at are
stating the card won't work in OS9x. A pretty broad statement which
concerns me if there is some other unknown issue out there.

Orange Micro USB 2.0 cards listed as 1.1 compatible in OS 8.6 and 9.x but then says you need a Mac G3 rev b motherboard or newer.
Their support has always been lame dating back to the PC cards....
