I have yet to run into any hitches using my IDE drive, which is a 3 partitioned IBM 60gb. One of the partition holds all my applications, one of which is Photoshop. The scratch disc is a 2 gb partition from a 9gb UW Barracuda and it's been this way for several years. One IDE partition is storage for all my film scans and finished files before they are burned onto CDs. The leading UW partition is my startup and I keep a copy (not installed) of the System folder in one of the IDE partition and it boots from it fine. There is also a backup System on the original factory 7200 rpm 4.6gb WD SCSI drive, which is hardly used. Bunch of stuff, including the System, is backed up on an external 60gb firewire drive. I also periodically burn the System folder onto a CD, preference and everything. Plenty of screenshots of internet settings, etc. Alan -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
