If you have OS X, open a terminal and enter appleping. A most amusing result is returned.

For those without X, here's the result:

[G4:~] pastormac% appleping
Usage:  appleping net.node [data size] [npackets]
or:  appleping name:[EMAIL PROTECTED] [data size] [npackets]

examples:  appleping 'John Sculley:Macintosh [EMAIL PROTECTED]'
or:  appleping 6b16.54
