Maybe try calling your ISP again. I had what I thought were modem problems but they turned out to be software configuration problems. Check to see that your communication set-up is EXACTLY the same as the 600.
And, another time I had what I thought was an ISP problem, and the tech person had me doing backflips with my modem software and communication software. Then I called back and got another technician who said, "Oh, yes, I see here what your problem is," and did something there to correct the situation. Some of these tech people will speak with knowing authority, but they haven't got a clue. I don't want to start on that rant...
I wonder if the "busy signal" message that you are getting is really a user name or password failure. It seems that for some reason the ISP won't let you in. It's either that you are knocking with the wrong secret handshake, or they forgot who you are and need to remind the person at the door that you are a paid subscriber and to let you in.
These are just my 2 cents.

I'm trying to get my "new" 900 to hook up to the internet. It doesn't have
an internal modem, so I got a Best Data USB. I've got it shared through a hub
with my 600. I followed all the instructions for installation of software.
With my 600 it works fine. My 900 recognizes the modem, and will dial out with
it. (I can hear it beeping) Then it says the line is busy and disconnects.
I've gone through the internet stuff on the 900 with Jag. and set it up as best
I know how. My ISP has no clue. Can anyone lend a hand? If I can get the
internet hookup going, I can switch everything else over to the 900 and use it
as my primary computer.
Thanks- Mike
Have you tried a different modem cable on the S900 or the other port.
Because you are getting a busy signal you should give it a try. I have found
a bad cable or hardware connection can give such an indication.
