Some of you may recall PowerLogix announcing this past spring/early summer that they were going to produce a G3/800 PCI daughter card upgrade that would work in our machines. I have asked them about it 3 times now and this is the latest reply (12-22)...
-- David, I don't have good news but I do have definitive news. The daughter card project was canceled (for now). As I mentioned the design was done but the markets and cost of parts caused us to re evaluate the product. At some point in the future we may revisit the idea but I wouldn't base any decisions on the potential. My best advise would be to proceed as if we would never produce that upgrade again. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you. Owen --- I was hoping this card would provide Sonnet incentive to drop the prices on their G4/700 and 800 cards since they haven't from introducing them. Looks like that's not going to happen.
