You want to format your drives as such assuming you are using an OS newer then 8, such as 8.6, 9.1, etc. If you save all your old data from the HFS drive, perhaps by burning onto a CD or another drive, moving it back onto a HFS+ formatted drive should not be a problem. Can't remember the backward or forward visibility between the old/new OS versions for the HFS+ format. HFS+ formatted data is not visible to OS 7.XX and older ? Anyone ?
