From: Barbara Nostrand <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>Has anyone succeeded in installing OS 9.2 on an S900? The computercomplains
that it can not deal with the CD ROM when I try to do this. The OS 9.2 disk
is very much ok and will install on an iBook. I have a five computer license
and would like to brink my S900 up to OS 9.2. Also, what have people's
experiences with OS X on S900's been like? Thanx.
I've got 9.2.2 and 10.3.2 on my S900. You need OS 9 Helper to install 9.2.2, and XPostFacto to install 10.3. Both are available for free at www.macsales.com.
Both are running fine on my machine, but it's pretty heavily upgraded. It's got 688 megs RAM, a Sonnet G4/450 CPU and a Radeon 7000 video card. Currently it has 3 SCSI hard drives, but I'm about to put an IDE card in it again so I can use an IDE CD-ROM drive in it. It absolutely refuses to recognize a SCSI CD-ROM.
