Any list members in the Metro Detroit Area? I've purchased all the items to upgrade my S900 to a G4, but have run into a few snags. My Sonnett ATA66 card won't work with an IBM/Hatachi 40gb Deskstar drive-it just won't load OS9.1 partitioned into 4 partitions? The drive was replaced under warranty but the second has the same problem. Any suggestions. I have the original 160megs of ram I purchased with the machine. I hesitate to introduce the 512megs of Velocity ram I bought until things are stable. I am using a 40X Plextor SCSI with the hacked Mac driver from previous list posts, but had to use a 2X Apple rommed Drive to get OS9 to load on my SCSI Drive-not the original WD that came with the unit. I've tried and tried to understand how to use ResEdit to facilitate use of my original WD 2GB and a WD 9GB drive, but don't have the savy to do it- can anyone help? I have a USB card- it works with my Lexair media cardreader, the only USB device I have. Can a PCI carded USB system work for USB audio? Apple says no- what say ye? If anyone is willing to mentor me please feel free to contact me offlist. I am desperate to get this thing working properly to upgrade into OSX for Photoshop. Oh yes, can we run Panther, or is it the end of the line at Jaguar for these machines? In either case it would make a nice server/burner if I can get it to upgrade properly. Thanks in advvance, Paul Corsa
