Thanks for posting this website.

Last week I got the really bright idea of installing OSX on my s900. It
showed up in the mail, and just to see what would happen I put the boot disk
in my CD rom to see if it would boot.

It won't.

It did something else. It booted for a little bit, then it quit and the s900
started polling the other drives then it would just sat there running.

I tried rebooting. Somehow my s900 had a stroke and was in a coma.

It would not reboot. It would not accept any commands from the keyboard. The
only way I could turn off the computer was to press the power button on the
front.

I could start it by pressing either power button on the front or on the
keyboard but it would only quit using the button on the front.

I took the computer apart. I blew out the dust. I have an Apple IIGS, and to
keep it running properly would from time to time require being taken apart.
Pulling the cards out and reseating them, to scuff up the contacts and make
electrica connections. This didn't work on the s900. Sitting on the cude
didn't help.

I looked for tech tips on Google and found a page that said that the power
to the keboard comes from the PRAM. So I ordered a new PRAM battery. That
didn't work.

I tried posting here on SuperMacs with my powerbook, but they bounced back.

Then when this website was mentioned I went there and left them an email
explaining the situation. They emailed me back even though I said I wasn't a
customer.

He suggested that OSX writes deeply into the PRAM when it tries to install
itself. He suggested removing the PRAM battery and unplugging the power and
then holding down the power switch on the keyboard and then the CUDA for 5
seconds. This is to drain the power from the PRAM. Then let the computer sit
overnight, or for a couple of days.

It worked. My s900 is now operational.

Thanks,
Mark Murphy
