Downloaded Netscape 4.8 (painful 4 hrs.) installed, Much improved operational speed. Even the 'Netscape Logo' seems to cycle faster. ;-)
But, the 'freezes' still occur. Maybe the system cleanup/reinstall will do the trick.

It may help to download "Netscape Defrost". But my experiences with Netscape have been that there are none worthwhile save version 7.0 and the Mozilla versions.
