Hi, Void Linux has package xinetd for x86_64. Installed here with "xbps-install xinetd" in updated Void.
ls -l /etc/sv/xinetd/* -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 47 Jan 14 2021 /etc/sv/xinetd/run lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 27 Jan 14 2021 /etc/sv/xinetd/supervise -> /run/runit/supervise.xinetd The last line above flashes reverse video on a red background; a hint that /run/runit/supervise.xinetd doesn't exist. So xinetd failed to start. I've read https://docs.voidlinux.org/config/services/. No mention of /run/<anything>. How does runit start a service? Where in the process is /run/runit/supervise.<service> created? A fix for this failure? Thanks, ... P. -- VoIP: +1 604 670 0140 work: https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/User:PeterEasthope
