There's a distinction between: - "in index" - This is the total number of messages that Sup knows about, i.e., all messages that have been indexed by Xapian. This is expected to be a very big, and usually ever-increasing, number. :-) - "in inbox" - Messages with the special label "Inbox". These will appear in the "index-mode" buffer (the default buffer shown when you launch sup). To see some very approximate counts for messages in each label, type "L" (capital-L) in index-mode, which will prompt "Show threads with label (enter for listing)" - then press enter without specifying a label.
