SM 2.0 - use external email app for "Send" links?

Is there any way to use an external email application for SM2's "Send 
page..." and "Send link..." menu items?

I've already got "network.protocol-handler.external.mailto" set to TRUE, 
and that's working great for "mailto" links, but the "Send" items still 
go for the SM mail engine.
