But not in IE. For the first time in my experience. Anyone else?

It comes up blank in 1.1.18, until I expand the window to full screen,
then a 2" x 3" box with pages flipping over in it shows. Clicking on
that opens a "magazine" in another tab, which works fine. Apparently,
their "digital reader" in Flash is causing the problem.

Here's the new page with the magazine:

Politico - 12/04/2009 digital edition

My 1.1.18 was/is at full-screen, but I'm not seeing what you're seeing.
As an experiment I told SM to *stop* blocking popup windows and did a
shift-Reload of Politico to see if anything changed, but nada.

It wouldn't surprise me to find out that this was Flash's doing.
Differences in what people are reporting could be due to different Flash
versions or settings.

You mean for example if the site relies on an ActiveX control, which is
ineffective in the Mozilla family?

Because 95% of the malware on PC's are activated by active-x controls. Active-X can't be made safe.

Active-X isn't even recognized on the Mac OSX because of this Danger. Its far more dangerous than Java or JavaScript ever will be or ever has been.
