I downloaded the adblock_plus-1.1.2.xpi file of the new AdBlock Plus
1.1.2 extension from its Web site, which I indeed trust, onto my hard
drive. The Add-on Manager won't let me install it.

I have set the preference in [Advanced > Software Installation] to
"Allow Web sites to install extensions and updates".

I get an error popup with the message:
"SeaMonkey could not install the file at
         file://D:/downloads/software/adblock_plus-1.1.2.xpi
because: Signing could not be verified.
         -260"

How can I install this extension? Does this mean that I will be blocked
from installing extensions from my accumulated archive of .xpi files
even when they are compatible with SeaMonkey 2?

Go to Mozdev at <http://www.mozdev.org/> for quick access to
extensions for Firefox, Thunderbird, SeaMonkey, and other
Mozilla-related applications. You can access Mozdev much
more quickly than you can Mozilla Add-Ons.
