Whatever you have set for email also shows up in newsgroups as well.

They are global settings not customized according whether email or
newsgroups.
I'm using Mnenhy since a very long time and had forgotten the
restrictions without it. Sorry.

I just tried and If I turn it off in news and if I go to email, it is
not there.
