You might want to spend a few minutes exploring the Preferences dialog,
you could save us a lot of time.
Edit>>Preferences>>Browser>>Internet Search
Check/uncheck the boxes to suit your preference. I have open the
sidebar unchecked, and open a tab checked. Just don't check both of them.
I could swear I remember you.
