Hi D.K. and all the others who gave useful tips,
thanks to everybody, it works like a charm.

Just a followup-question: can one also add also
some other header fields from the original posting or message,
for example the email adress and message-Id etc?
Ie. something like:

"On 08/22/2010 05:15 PM, Donald Duck (don...@duck.com) wrote:"

Of course as a European I would also like to have the date/time
in an international format: "2010-08-22 17:15", ie. the above
string should be:

"On 2010-08-22 17:15, Donald Duck (don...@duck.com) wrote:"

Please bottom post in this group :-)

So, you mean I have to read this document first:
  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Posting_style
:-)

If you post to groups/mail lists that are public I would recommend
against adding the email address in the header. This reduces the chances
of the email address being harvested by spambots& the person you are
replying to will/may appreciate it. BTW: 'duck.com' is a valid domain,
so it could be that the email address above is valid :-)

Yes, I know. I need it only in emails.
For the locale time, have a look at:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Mailnews.reply_header_*
mailnews.reply_header_locale

Ok, this worked nice (see above :-)
Thx!
