Bud, have you check (in the problematic profile) Tools->Password Manager
to see if your ISP's password is still listed??
(I'm having problems logging into my Usenet server because the Password
manager has forgotten my passwords!!)

Thanks Daniel. There are no entries in the Password block.
Solved the problem by opening a new profile into which I copied the
mail folder, etc. Wish I new what caused the smoke. At least the
fire's put out. Bud
