Been following this thread with interest. But, how do I do this? I get
to the Certificate Manager, but can't see how to proceed from there.

When you reach Certificate Manager:

1.  Select the Authorities tab.

2.  Scroll through the list of root certificates and select the
certificate in which you are interested.

3.  Select the Edit Trust button.

You will see checkmarks (or not) indicating which of three certificate
uses are trusted.  No, the use of the Edit Trust button merely to view
the trust settings is NOT intuitive.
