places.sqlite also contains your browsing history, which is likely to be different between two machines. To me, the most simple way to transfer only bookmarks would be to export them into bookmarks.html, transfer that file, and then import from that file. However, I think (but not sure) that will erase any existing bookmarks on the target PC. If you want to maintain any differences in bookmarks, then use SeaMonkey Sync. -- David E.
