I'm on WIndows XP PRO SP3, XP Silver theme (standard is blue).
Seamonkey Screenshot with (-) and (+) no tiangles in my case.
And I have never seen them in SM.

It's just called "modified theme" for XP (no idea what, if anything, is
modified). It's the "Seamonkey Modern" theme for SM.

Yes I just discovered Seamonkey Modern uses triangles,I did not know
that and just tested it. I never used the Modern theme, I don't like the
color. I use Seamonkey's default theme which is showing (-) and (+)
